Nomic has completed the most recent phase of our SOC 2 Compliance!
With this milestone, Nomic has officially demonstrated we are a software vendor operating with the highest standards of security, safety, and maturity in the software and AI industries.
When we started Nomic, we understood that security and privacy were going to be important concerns for our users. We took these concerns into account as we began building every part of our services. Obtaining SOC2 compliance was a natural step for us to demonstrate that when you work with Nomic, our services respect your data privacy and we have measures in place to help when things go wrong.
Security in the era of huge datasets is something we at Nomic really care about getting right. A security matter important in AI is when large datasets directly contain or indirectly reference personally-identifying or otherwise sensitive information. Working with Nomic, if you accidentally upload data like this, you can reach out and we will properly scrub it from our servers (accidents happen, and we've built a system that is prepared to handle accidents like these and fix them immediately).
Enterprise applications involve enormous amounts of sensitive data. Accordingly, to meet businesses where they are at, we started with training our personnel and building our systems to be prepared for handling sensitive business information.
With the completion of our Soc 2 Type 2 report, we've officially demonstrated to auditors what we do to protect data and provide a secure foundation for users. The audit involved third party auditors reviewing the practices our engineering team undergoes - through our design, implementation, and review phases - to ship software to our users.
Our services were reviewed for our data security, firewall configurations, backup and disaster recovery, security incident responses, & more that you can learn about by requesting a copy of our SOC 2 Report.
Our users are distributed around the world, ranging from hackers on open source projects to Fortune 500 enterprises, and they are operating under a variety of different legal requirements for their data and their software.
We want to be ready to support everybody's data needs, which will involve navigating the various regulatory environments from around the world. With SOC 2 compliance, we've taken an important step on our way to becoming a global company.
